Mourne Mountains are a range of mountains near the southeast coast of Northern Ireland. They extend about 15 miles (24 kilometers) between Carlingford Lough and Dundrum Bay, on the Irish Sea. Slieve Donard, the highest peak in Northern Ireland, rises 2,796 feet (852 meters) in the mountains. See also Slieve Donard .
