National Catholic Educational Association

National Catholic Educational Association is an organization that encourages cooperation and mutual helpfulness among Catholic educators and promotes, by study, conference, and discussion, Catholic educational work in the United States. The organization was founded as the Catholic Educational Association in 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1927, it became the National Catholic Educational Association. Its work is carried on by various departments. They include departments for Catholic educational administrators, for elementary schools, for religious education, for secondary schools, for seminaries, and for boards and councils of Catholic education. The organization’s headquarters are in Arlington, Virginia.
