North Dakota, University of, is a state-supported liberal arts institution in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It was founded in 1883. The university’s athletic teams are called the Fighting Hawks. In 2015, the new nickname replaced the school’s longtime Fighting Sioux nickname and logo, which were retired in 2012.
