Pademelon, << PAD ee mehl uhn, >> is a small kind of wallaby. The few species live in dense growth of Australian forests or swamps. They graze at dawn and dusk around the edge of the bush. Their main food is grass. Pademelons are slow breeders. The destruction of the bush and competition with introduced animals has resulted in the disappearance of pademelons from some areas.
