Pensacola Dam is a federal flood-control and electric-power project on the Neosho River near Pensacola, Okla. It is a multiple-arch, hollow-buttress dam with 51 arches and an 861-foot (262-meter) spillway. The dam is 145 feet (44 meters) high and 6,500 feet (1,980 meters) long at the top. It has a capacity of 2 million acre-feet (2.5 billion cubic meters) of water. The dam was completed in 1940.
