Ranunculus

Ranunculus is the common name of a perennial plant cultivated as a garden flower and as a cut flower. It has tuberous (thick and fleshy) roots. Its colorful, bowl-shaped flowers may be white, yellow, pink, orange, red, or maroon. These flowers tend to flatten out as they open. Ranunculus grows best in light soil enriched with organic matter and in a sunny, sheltered position.
