Rimutakas are a range of mountains in the North Island of New Zealand. They form a southern extension of the Tararua Range. The Rimutakas rise to more than 2,900 feet (900 meters) above sea level, separating the Wairarapa Valley in the north from the Hutt Valley in the south. See also New Zealand.
