Royal Military College of Canada is a university in Kingston, Ontario, that trains young men and women to become officers in the Canadian Armed Forces. It provides a broad program of academic, military, and physical training. Graduates receive a bachelor’s degree in arts, engineering, or science, and a commission as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. The college also has a program of graduate studies.
The school is one of two Canadian military colleges. The other is the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, in Saint-Jean, Quebec. Students may begin their studies at either college. But all engineering students and most science students will spend their last two years at the Royal Military College. The college was founded in 1874 and opened in 1876.
