Sieben, Jon (1966-…), an Australian swimmer, won a gold medal in the 200-meter butterfly event at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984. He set a new world record time of 1 minute 57.04 seconds. Sieben defeated the favored Michael Gross of Germany in one of the biggest upsets of the 1984 Olympics. Jonathan Sieben was born in Brisbane, Queensland.
