Beersheba

Beersheba, << beer SHEE buh >> (pop. 211,251), in Israel, is the place where Abraham settled. It lies on the northern edge of Israel’s Negev region. It is sometimes called the capital of the Negev. When Israel was established, Beersheba was a small town. Today, it is a bustling city. It is the center of the mining and agricultural projects in the Negev.
