Tamborine Mountains

Tamborine Mountains form a chain stretching 12 miles (19 kilometers) in Queensland, Australia. They are part of the Darlington Range and are located about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southeast of Brisbane. There are three centers—Eagle Heights, North Tamborine, and Mount Tamborine. The highest peak is Mount Tamborine, rising 1,801 feet (549 meters). The area overlooks the Gold Coast and is a popular tourist resort. Avocados and rhubarb grown in the area are transported to the Brisbane markets. See also Queensland .
