Travois

Travois, << truh VOY, >> is a device used by Native Americans and other peoples for carrying loads. It consists of two poles, a net or platform lashed between the poles, and a harness for hitching the device to a horse or dog. A travois has no wheels. The ends of the poles drag on the ground as the animal pulls the load.
