Whip snake

Whip snake is the common name for a wide variety of snakes. Two mildly venomous kinds, the Carpentaria whip snake and the little whip snake, live in Australia. Carpentaria whip snakes inhabit parts of Queensland. Little whip snakes live in Victoria and in parts of South Australia and New South Wales. Both kinds have brownish coloring above and creamish-white bellies. They feed at night, eating mainly small lizards and insects.
