Wupatki National Monument

Wupatki, << wu PAT kee, >> National Monument is in northern Arizona. It contains prehistoric dwellings, built by an ancient people known as Ancestral Pueblo or Hisatsinom. The Native American Hopi people are believed to be partially descended from those who built these dwellings. The monument was established in 1924.
