Crouse, Russel

Crouse, Russel (1893-1966), wrote and produced many popular plays with Howard Lindsay. They wrote Life with Father (1939), which set a Broadway record for the number of consecutive performances. Crouse and Lindsay won a Pulitzer Prize for State of the Union (1945). They also produced Arsenic and Old Lace (1941) and Detective Story (1949). Russel Crouse was born in Findlay, Ohio.
