Young, Owen D.

Young, Owen D. (1874-1962), was an American businessman. As chairman of the second committee of financial experts of the Allied Reparations Commission, he helped plan the settlement of Germany’s World War I debts and reparations by “The Young Plan” of 1929. From 1922 to 1939, Young served as chairman of the board of the General Electric Company. He organized the Radio Corporation of America (now RCA Corporation) in 1919. Young was born in Van Hornesville, New York.
