Robinson, Boardman (1876-1952), was an American artist, mural painter, and illustrator. He is best known for his mural paintings in Rockefeller Center in New York City and for his illustrations for Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Brothers Karamazov. His work is characterized by vitality and clarity. Born in Nova Scotia, Robinson studied in Boston and in Paris, France. In 1914, he traveled in Russia. He wrote Cartoons of the War (1915) and, with John Reed, The War in Eastern Europe (1916).
