Granados, << grah NAH thohs, >> Enrique (1867-1916), a Spanish pianist and composer, became known for his charming piano works, Goyescas, inspired by the famous painter Francisco Goya. He also was noted for four volumes of Spanish Dances. He wrote the operas Maria del Carmen and Goyescas, and two symphonic poems, Dante and Serenata. Granados was born in Lerida.
