Whittaker, Charles Evans

Whittaker, Charles Evans (1901-1973), was a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1957 to 1962. President Dwight D. Eisenhower nominated him as a U.S. District Judge in 1954, and two years later he became a judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Whittaker was born in Doniphan County, Kansas.
