Hawkweed

Hawkweed is a hairy perennial plant with dandelionlike flowers that may be yellow or orange-red. Hawkweeds have long flower stalks and strap-shaped leaves that grow out from the bottom of the stem. The European orange-flowered hawkweed grows up to 28 inches (70 centimeters) tall. It has been introduced into Britain and North America. Hawkweeds generally grow in dry places such as walls, railway banks, and mountain ledges.
