Radiata pine is a conifer tree. It is also known as the Monterey pine. Native to California, the radiata pine has been successfully introduced into Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. It is an important plantation tree because it grows and regenerates quickly. The tree grows from 82 to 100 feet (25 to 30 meters) high and has leaves that are 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 centimeters) long.
