Dallas Baptist University is a Christian university affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The university is in Dallas. It was founded in 1965 as a two-year school called Dallas Baptist College. The college added a junior year of academic work in 1968 and a senior year in 1969, and awarded its first bachelor’s degrees in 1970. The institution became Dallas Baptist University in 1985 and established several master’s degree programs during the 1980’s and 1990’s.
