Goucher College is a private, independent liberal arts and sciences college in Towson, Maryland, near Baltimore. The institution was founded as the Woman’s College of Baltimore in 1885. It adopted coeducation in 1986.
Goucher offers a variety of special programs for college graduates, working adults, and other nontraditional students. The Teachers Institute conducts courses and workshops for teachers, administrators, supervisors, and support personnel covering a broad range of education topics. Adult learners who want to earn college degrees are enrolled in regular academic programs through a program called Goucher II.
