Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional football team that plays in the National Football League (NFL) . The team competes in the South Division of the National Football Conference. The Bucs, as they are often called, play their home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
Tampa Bay began play in the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team. The Bucs lost all 14 games their first season and the first 12 games of their second season. The team won a division championship and made the playoffs for the first time in 1979. From 1983 to 1996, the Bucs experienced 14 straight losing seasons. Tampa Bay won Super Bowl XXXVII (played in 2003) and Super Bowl LV (played in 2021).
