Business and Professional Women’s Foundation

Business and Professional Women’s Foundation promotes equal opportunity for women in all aspects of society. The organization, also known as BPW Foundation, emphasizes equal treatment in the workplace and economic self-sufficiency for working women. It houses the Rawalt Research Center, a clearinghouse for information focused on working women and families.

The organization was founded in 1919 in St. Louis as Business and Professional Women/USA. In 2009, it merged with its sister organization, Business and Professional Women’s Foundation, established in 1956, and took that organization’s name. BPW Foundation maintains a blog for its members, Young Women Misbehavin’. Its national headquarters are in Washington, D.C.
