Longoria, << lohn GOHR ee ah, >> Eva (1975-…), is an Hispanic American television and motion-picture actress. She is known for her beauty and for portraying the adulterous retired model Gabrielle Solis on the popular comedy-drama-mystery “Desperate Housewives.” The series ran from 2004 to 2012.
Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She received a B.S. degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 1997. (Kinesiology is the study of human movement.) After graduating, Longoria entered a talent contest that took her to Los Angeles. While there, she was spotted and signed to a contract by a theatrical agent. Longoria made her TV acting debut in 2000 in the drama “Beverly Hills, 90210” and in the daytime drama “General Hospital.” From 2001 to 2003, she played the character Isabella Braña Williams in the daytime drama “The Young and the Restless.” She acted in the detective series “L.A. Dragnet” from 2003 to 2004.
Longoria also acted in the TV movie The Dead Will Tell (2004); the crime drama Harsh Times (2005); the thriller The Sentinel (2006); the romantic comedies The Heartbreak Kid (2007) and Over Her Dead Body (2008); and the comedy Lower Learning (2008). In 2012, she performed in the dramas Crazy Kind of Love and For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada and in the action films The Baytown Outlaws and A Dark Truth.
Longoria was married to the American actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2005. She was married to the National Basketball Association player Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011.
