Vettel, Sebastian (1987-…), of Germany was one of the greatest auto racing drivers in the history of the sport. In 2010, Vettel became the youngest driver to win the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship. Formula One (F1) racing features the most technologically advanced racing cars. Vettel repeated as champion in 2011, 2012, and 2013, becoming the youngest driver to win two, three, and four championships. He won 53 F1 races in his career.
Vettel was born on July 3, 1987, in Heppenheim, Germany, in the state of Hesse. He began kart racing at the age of 8, winning several championships. Vettel started racing in German Formula BMW competition in 2003, winning the championship in 2004. In 2006 and 2007, he became a test driver for the BMW Sauber team in Formula One. He raced for the Toro Rosso F1 team in 2007 and 2008, for the Red Bull team from 2009 to 2014, and for the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team from 2015 to 2020. In 2021 and 2022, he raced for the Aston Martin team. Vettel’s first F1 race was the United States Grand Prix in 2007. His first victory came in the 2008 Italian Grand Prix. Vettel retired from F1 racing in 2022.
