Rachman, Muhammad

Rachman, Muhammad (1971- …), an Indonesian boxer , held minimumweight world championship titles sanctioned by two international boxing organizations. The right-handed Rachman held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimumweight title from Sept. 14, 2004, to July 7, 2007. He held the World Boxing Association (WBA) title from April 19, 2011, to July 30, 2011. He was known as “The Rock Breaker” for his hard punching. He was also known by the moniker “Predator.”

Rachman attempted to win a second WBA minimumweight title in 2015 at the advanced boxing age of 43. He lost to Thailand boxer Thammanoon Niyomtrong (known by the moniker “Knockout CP Freshmart”) in a unanimous decision. Rachman retired from boxing in 2016. He finished his boxing career with a record of 65 wins (35 by knockout), 13 losses (1 by knockout), and 5 draws.

Muhammad Rachman Sawaludin bin Suhaimat was born in Merauke in Papua province on Dec. 23, 1971. His name is also spelled Mohammad.
