Bregman, Alex

Bregman, Alex (1994-…), is one of the best players in Major League Baseball (MLB). Bregman plays third base and shortstop for the Houston Astros in the American League (AL). Bregman is a dynamic player known for his patience and power at the plate and his quick glove in the field.

Bregman became Houston’s starting third baseman after his MLB debut in July 2016. In 2017, he helped the team win the first World Series title in Astros history. In 2018, Bregman hit 31 home runs with 103 runs batted in (RBI’s) and led MLB in doubles, with 51. In 2019, he led MLB in walks with 119, hit 41 home runs with 112 RBI’s, and finished second in the voting for AL Most Valuable Player. Bregman was named to the AL All-Star team in 2018 and 2019.

Alexander David Bregman was born on March 30, 1994, in Albuquerque , New Mexico . He excelled at baseball in high school, later starring as a player at Louisiana State University (LSU) . The Astros selected him in the first round of the June 2015 MLB draft. He played in Houston’s minor league system before reaching the major leagues in 2016.
