Coronavirus

Coronavirus is one of many viruses that cause the common cold and other diseases of the respiratory system. Common symptoms of coronavirus infection include high fever, difficulty breathing, body aches, and lung lesions (damage to the organ’s structure). Coronaviruses can infect both animals and people. The respiratory diseases severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), which resulted in significant outbreaks in the early 2000’s and early 2010’s, respectively, were caused by coronaviruses. Another coronavirus disease, COVID-19, was contracted by hundreds of millions of people after it emerged in 2019.
