Beckham, Odell, Jr.

Beckham, Odell, Jr. (1992-…), is an outstanding wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Beckham became particularly famous for his spectacular catches. On national television in 2014, Beckham caught a pass one-handed while falling backward in a game against the Dallas Cowboys, a move that has been called one of the greatest pass receptions in NFL history.

Beckham, who originally played for the New York Giants, holds numerous New York Giant and NFL pass-receiving records. Beckham has also aroused controversy for his behavior on and off the field. The NFL has suspended and fined him several times for his conduct, and his outspoken personality has made him one of the most newsworthy players in the NFL.

Odell Cornelious Beckham, Jr., was born on Nov. 5, 1992, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University, where he was a star receiver from 2011 through 2013. Beckham left college after his junior year to become a professional football player. The New York Giants selected him as the 12th player in the first round of the 2014 draft. Beckham was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2014 season. In 2019, the Giants traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns. In 2021, the Browns released Beckham, and he was signed by the Los Angeles Rams. After sitting out the 2022 season with an injury, Beckham signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.
