Hart, Kevin (1979-…), is an American comedian and actor. Hart became famous as a stand-up comedian and later as a star of motion pictures . His stand-up tours have broken multiple records for ticket sales and produced several successful albums and television specials. Hart is known for telling jokes about his family and for making fun of himself. He often talks quickly and jokes about being short—he is 5 feet 4 inches (163 centimeters) tall. As an actor, Hart frequently portrays fast-talking comic characters struggling to succeed.

Kevin Darnell Hart was born on July 6, 1979, in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . After graduating high school, Hart began working as both a stand-up comedian and a shoe salesman. However, he soon committed entirely to stand-up. Hart’s comedy specials “I’m a Grown Little Man” (2009) and “Seriously Funny” (2010) gained him public attention. His specials Laugh At My Pain (2011), Let Me Explain (2013), and What Now? (2016) were released in theaters. What Now? was filmed at the Philadelphia sports stadium Lincoln Financial Field in front of a crowd of 50,000 people.

Hart’s first movie role was in the action comedy Paper Soldiers (2002). He had small parts in films throughout the early 2000’s, but his first big role was in the romantic comedy Think Like A Man (2012). Hart starred in the comedy films Ride Along, About Last Night, and Think Like a Man Too (all 2014). Hart also starred in the action comedy Central Intelligence (2016), the adventure film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), and the drama The Upside (2017). Hart has provided his voice for animated movies. He voiced the rabbit Snowball in The Secret Life of Pets (2016) and the middle schooler George in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017).

Hart founded the production company Hartbeat Productions in 2009. The company has produced Hart’s comedy specials and promoted other artists. Hart co-wrote with Neil Strauss the memoir I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons (2017).
