Huang << hwahng >>, Jensen (1963-…) is a Taiwanese American entrepreneur (business developer). Huang co-founded the technology company Nvidia in 1993. He serves as its president and chief executive officer (CEO). Nvidia produces computer chips, particularly advanced microprocessors called GPU’s (graphics processing units). GPU’s were originally designed to handle computer graphics (visuals). But, these powerful chips have become increasingly important in the development of artificial intelligence. 
Jen-Hsun Huang was born in Tainan, Taiwan in 1963. In 1973, Huang and his brother were sent to live with relatives in the United States. As a young boy, Huang attended Oneida Baptist Institute, a boarding school in Kentucky. Huang later studied electrical engineering at Oregon State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1984. Huang then worked in a variety of positions in technology companies before earning a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1992.
Together with the American engineers Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem, Huang founded the graphics company Nvidia in 1993. In 1999, Nvidia created the first GPU for consumers, the GeForce 256. GPU’s enable computers to quickly render videos, video games, and other visuals. Nvidia has continued to release advanced GPU’s.
