Cineraria, << `sihn` uh RAIR ee uh, >> is a group of herbs that belong to the composite family. They grow wild in the Canary Islands, but are cultivated in gardens throughout the world. The flower heads are usually purple, red, or purple and white, with dark centers. Cinerarias are easily grown from seed. They make fine window plants, but must be grown at a temperature less than 65 °F (18 °C).
