Colorado, University of, is a state-supported coeducational university with campuses in Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Denver. It also has a medical campus in Aurora. The university was founded in 1876.
The Boulder campus includes the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, the Sommers-Bausch Observatory, and several research institutes and centers. In Boulder, the university holds a Conference on World Affairs every spring and several fine arts festivals during the summer.
