Deutzia

Deutzia, << DOOT see uh, >> is the name of a group of shrubs native to eastern Asia and Central America. They also grow in many northern regions. Deutzias have clusters of white, pink, or purplish flowers. They bloom in spring or early summer, and usually have five petals. The leaves have small teeth along the edges and are covered with a rough fuzz. Deutzias grow to about 6 feet (1.8 meters) high. They grow best in well-drained soil.
