Georgetown University

Georgetown University, a coeducational institution in Washington, D.C., is the oldest Roman Catholic university in the United States. It was founded in 1789 by Bishop John Carroll and is affiliated with the Jesuit religious order. Georgetown is known for its programs on international affairs, offered through the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, which also has a campus in Qatar.
