Georgia Institute of Technology is a state-assisted coeducational university in Atlanta. The institute is often called Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering is one of the largest in the United States. Georgia Tech also operates the Georgia Tech Research Institute, one of the largest university research organizations in the nation. Georgia Tech was founded in 1885.
