Glen Coe

Glen Coe is a mountain pass in the Highlands of Scotland. A stream runs westward down the pass toward Ballachulish on Loch Leven. Glen Coe is known in Scottish history as the site of the Glencoe Massacre. In February 1692, the MacDonald clan of Glencoe gave shelter to troops drawn from members of the Campbell clan. The troops attacked their hosts and killed 38 of them. Glencoe is a village at the end of Glen Coe. See also Highland .
