Gremlin, << GREHM luhn >>, is a small imaginary creature that some people believe causes mechanical problems in airplanes. Gremlins may have been originated by British pilots during World War I (1914-1918). They became most famous during World War II (1939-1945). Since then, the term gremlin has come to mean a source of trouble in many fields besides aviation.
