Guy of Warwick, << WAWR ihk >>, was a popular English romance dating from about 1300. Guy falls in love with Felice, daughter of the Earl of Warwick. But she at first refuses to marry him. After he rescues a German princess, kills a dragon, and defeats the Muslims, Guy marries Felice. But he leaves on a crusade, and when he returns he lives as a hermit. Finally, on his deathbed, he sends his wife a ring she recognizes. They are reunited just before he dies.
