American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency organized to fight diseases of the heart and blood vessels. It sponsors research, community services, and professional and public education on heart disease. The association has offices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
The American Heart Association gains financial support for its program from the general public through contributions made to the association or to its Heart Fund. The association has its national headquarters in Dallas.
