Henricks, Jon (1935-…), an Australian swimmer, won the 100-meter freestyle event at the Melbourne Olympic Games in 1956, the first Australian to win that event. He also anchored the then record-setting 4 x 200-meter relay team. While attending the University of Southern California, Henricks won the United States 100- and 200-meter titles in 1958. He graduated from the university in 1961. He represented Australia at the Rome Olympics in 1960, but failed to qualify because of illness. He retired after the 1960 Olympics and settled in the United States, becoming an executive with an industrial tool company. Henricks was born in Sydney on June 6, 1935.
