Its mineral springs contain bicarbonate of soda, sulfate of soda, and common salt. The most famous of the 19 springs is the Sprudel, which has a temperature of 165 °F (74 °C) and yields almost 2,000 quarts (1,900 liters) of water a minute. Chief products include glassware, pottery, and china. Nearby hills have coal and kaolin, a clay used in making china.
