Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is in southeastern Montana. It includes part of the site of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, which took place on June 25 and 26, 1876. The area was established as a national cemetery in 1879 and became a national monument on March 22, 1946. The cemetery is Custer National Cemetery.
