Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond, << lok LOH muhnd, >> is the largest and one of the most famous of the Scottish lakes. The lake lies in the Scottish Highlands, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northwest of Glasgow. Loch Lomond is in a hilly region, and its waters have many islands. The lake is 23 miles (37 kilometers) long and 5 miles (8 kilometers) wide at its widest point. It is part of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. One of the most familiar Scottish folk songs is about Loch Lomond.
