American Chemical Society

American Chemical Society is an organization of chemists and chemical engineers. It has more than 150,000 members and is one of the world’s largest scientific societies. It consists of more than 30 professional divisions. Local groups meet throughout the world. It was founded in 1876. The society’s headquarters are in Washington, D.C. Some of the American Chemical Society’s best-known publications are the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Chemical Reviews, and Chemical and Engineering News.
