Arkansas, University of, is a system of higher education with its main campus in Fayetteville. Other major campuses are in Fort Smith, Little Rock, Monticello, and Pine Bluff, and graduate campuses of medicine and public service are in Little Rock. The campuses in Fayetteville and Pine Bluff are land-grant universities, which means they are partly endowed by the United States government under the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890. The main campus was founded in 1871. The Pine Bluff campus, a historically black university, was founded in 1873. The medical campus was founded in 1879. The Clinton School of Public Service was founded in 2004. Athletic teams at the main campus in Fayetteville are called the Razorbacks.
