Calgary, University of, is a university in Calgary, Canada. It is supported primarily by the province of Alberta. The university operates an astrophysical observatory about 19 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of the Calgary city center, near Priddis. Several research institutes on or near the campus are affiliated with the university.
The University of Alberta set up a branch in Calgary in 1945. This branch became the University of Calgary in 1966.
