Casa Grande, << KAH sah GRAHN day, >> Ruins National Monument is an area in southern Arizona that has the remains of an ancient farming community. It includes the ruins of a four-story casa grande (great house) built by Indians who irrigated and farmed the land in the Gila Valley hundreds of years ago. The adobe building was discovered in 1694.
